Tormore distillery is one of those little secrets in the industry which is starting to become less of a secret. The spirit is a heavier style and was aimed for supplying the blending industry. A young-ish distillery, founded in 1960.

At Caskells we have had a bottling of Tormore coming from Hunter Laing each year starting with a 25yo and we now have a 30yo. This one has been matured in a refill hogshead. The flavour profile is complex with berry fruits, orchard fruits, spices, and woody notes all rolled into a dram.

We have never been disappointed with any of the Tormore bottlings under the Editions Spirits range and this continues in this 30yo.

Natural colour and at cask strength. As pure whisky as you can get, direct from barrel to bottle.

The First Editions was set up by Andrew Laing of Hunter Laing and focuses on mostly older ages of single cask bottlings of whisky that he chooses. Hunter Laing was created when Douglas Laing split down the middle in 2013 and the two brothers Fred and Stewart went their separate ways although both stayed in the world of whisky.
