De Castelfort - 1973 Armagnac
Armagnac is a distinctive kind of brandy produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France. "Armagnac" also refers to the name of the region in France that produces brandy, just like Cognac and their brandy. Armagnac is less famous than the Cognac region (for now). However, arguably it has more refined brandies than its neighbor due to it having at least 800 years of production history in France.
The maker of this armagnac is De Castelfort. The good thing is the availability of different vintages which is not so easy from the world of Cognacs and other spirits such as whisky.
Bottled at 40% ABV.
