We liked Caol Ila so much that we got 2 quarter cask bottlings! This is our Caskells own bottling from quarter casks. We started our own independent bottlings in 2017.

Caol Ila is a distillery on Islay. It has always produced peated whisky and is used a lot in the blending industry, as well as producing its own single malt. This expression is a medium heavy style peat with a fruity sweetness initially on the palate that goes into a classic medicinal peated, barbequed meats style. Bottled at 46%, natural colour. A nice balance of spice, sweetness, and lingering peated wood ash.

Pairs very well with abalone!
