Caskells - Auchroisk 9y, 2009, 46%, 74b

Caskells own bottling, finished using quarter casks. 

Auchroisk was built for the blending industry and is a relatively young distillery. It is usually seen in single malt form in an IB bottling such as this.

Bottled at 46%, natural colour. In our opinion, it does very nicely in a tumbler with a couple of chunks of ice. Flavours tend towards honey-esque sweetness, cereal notes, into a drying wood/oaky finish. A good example of bourbon cask style whisky (hence the gold yellow colour from this single cask whisky)

We started our own bottlings in 2017.
