Adelphi - Laudale Batch 6, Dailuaine 12y, 46%, 2100b

The Laudale collection from independent bottler Adelphi features a host of generously sherried whiskies. Batch 6 hails from Speyside's Dailuaine distillery, matured for 12 years, it's a limited release of 2,100 bottles. A very lovely IB single malt scotch whisky, a classic sherry cask / sherry oak whisky.

This is the 3rd batch of Laudale from Adelphi, a highly praised dram for those that like sherry oak cask whiskies.

Nose: Candied orange and syrupy malt biscuits, barley water, and nutty fruit cake.

Palate: Superbly sweet, with layers of burnt brown sugar, gingerbread, and cinnamon swirls.

Finish: Honeyed fruit, more zesty orange, candied nuts, and charred oak.
