Terrific single malt from the Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay, matured in a single cask for 23 years. It was distilled in 1998, and slumbered soundly in cask #2145 until 2022, when the Adelphi team bottled it up at cask strength, producing 587 bottles.

A 1998 single cask Bunnahabhain, matured in an oloroso gorda for 23 years, the largest cask legally allowed to be used in Scotch whisky production. An IB single malt scotch whisky.

Official tasting notes:
Nose: Sultanas, brandy snap, cigar box, dried figs, quince chutney, black bun, stem giner, cloves, star anise, grapefruit, honey, dark chocolate crunchies, pomegranate molasses, pumpernickel.

Taste: Star Anise, leather, tobacco leaf, caramel, light minerals, licorice, crème caramel, slightly salty, flat coke, dark chocolate, blackcurrant, kirsch, marzipan, steam train, oyster sauce, umami, Chinese black vinegar.
