Laphroaig - 25y, 2016, Edition, 48.6%

Laphroaig is one of the distilleries on Islay with a long history and big reputation as big as its flavours. This 2016 bottling is part of their annual 25yo releases which they started in 2014.

The whisky itself seems to benefit from a bit of time in the glass but also is not as peaty as other releases nor as fruity, sitting somewhere in-between.
