3rd release of Ardnamurchan Distillery single malt. Made from 65% ex-bourbon casks, and 35% ex-sherry casks...
Nose: Rich notes of wet oak, hay, sherry. Sweet notes nutmeg, boiled sweets, cinnamon, very ripe strawberries. Subtle fruity notes such as plums and dates too.
Palate: Light driness, warm peppery notes. Oak, sawdust notes come through. Complemented by hints of dried fruits that remind us of plums. Some sharp notes of apple skin too. Leading into a medium long gentle finish. Almonds, dark chocolates, cherries along with oaky woody flavours linger.
