2nd release of Ardnamurchan Distillery Single malt. from 65% ex-bourbon casks and 35% ex-sherry casks...

Nose: Sherry soaked raisins. Vanilla. Lime cordial air. Fatty butter. Charcoal dust. Water makes sooty and adds crumpets notes.

Palate: Honey and butter, nice lead into charred wood and charcoal notes. Some raisins and fruitcake flavours. Dry sherry notes that are complemented by hints of vanilla fudge. Adding some drops of water opens up some citrusy notes such as lemonade and methol notes.

Finish: A charred meaty end that is slightly dry with sultana, buttery notes. Water brings out some nuttiness with a bit more soot and lemonade.
