Adelphi - Mortlach 25y, 1993, 56.1%, 385b
Another Mortlach from Adelphi also at 25 years old. This one is sherried but with strong gingery fire and malty caramel with dark fruits. A bigger "bang" on the palate than normal. Calms down and becomes sophisticated with some water.

Adelphi bottles some of Scotland's best quality whisky no matter the age they bottle it at. Why?.... because they routinely only accept about 5% of the casks they taste. This high level of requirement means only the very best stuff gets through.
