Ichiro's Malt & Grain - Kiyosato Field Ballet 26th Anniversary, Hardcover box Special Edition. A special bottling that celebrates the 26th Anniversary of the Kiyosato Field Ballet.

A marriage of two lost Japanese distilleries: this very limited blended whisky contains Hanyu 25 year old 1990 single malt and Kawasaki 33 year old 1982 grain whisky. A truly rare whisky. This whisky set is made even rarer by the fact that it comes with a blown glass decanter bottle, hand made in Japan from Kobei Komaki and stopper; with a special limited edition hard cover layered card box, to present these 2 items side-by-side.

Bottled at 48% ABV. Whisky & Decanter Bottle number 92 of 700 bottles, however there were only 200 of the hardcover editions.

Kawasaki distillery was owned by Mercian Corporation, also the owners of the Karuizawa Distillery, which focused on Malt whisky, whilst Kawasaki Distillery focused on Grain whiskies. Located in Kawasaki Prefecture between Tokyo and Yokohama, Kawasaki Distillery generally used 90% corn and 10% malted barley in Refill Sherry Butts and Demerara Rum casks. Mercian became a part of Kirin Holdings in the 2000s and Karuizawa and Kawasaki were both closed. After being closed, most of inventory of casks were stored in the Yamanashi warehouse and bought by Mr. Ichiro Akuto in 2006.

700 bottles were released in 2015. Rated 90+ on Whiskybase over 35 reviews.
